Reviews and Ratings
The country house felt like a warm hug, with beautifully decorated and spacious rooms for relaxing after the ceremony. The staff was dedicated, friendly, and attentive, going above and beyond in customer service. The stunning location, just outside Letterkenny, provided easy access to historic sites and the charming village of Ramelton. Dining was a la carte with fresh pasta, though there were some limitations. Stepping into this 17th-century house was like entering a dimension of relaxation, comfort, and good food.
The hotel offers beautifully decorated rooms with lots of comfy seating and real fires. However, some cushions and soft furnishings were a bit grubby. The slight noise from the dining room was not too bad. Personalized service throughout the dining experience was excellent, although additional charges for certain items were disappointing. The location is scenic and peaceful, ideal for small weddings or relaxing by the large bed overlooking Lock Swilly. The dining experience was considered fabulous, but the price may not match the quality. Facilities were well-maintained and suitable.
Staying at the hotel was a wonderful experience overall. The rooms were very comfortable, although lacking some amenities like a coffee/tea maker. The setting of the function room for dining and dancing was grand and intimate at the same time.
